How My Friend Porter Projects Gold Prices

Porter Stansberry just interviewed me – and you can watch our chat here, for free.

The reason I did this?

Very frankly, I’ve spent the bulk of my career begging people to buy specific gold investments. Some of the time, it feels like I’m telling you what not to buy – for good reason. The precious metals market is tricky, to put it mildly. The sector is plagued with more bad investments than good – though I guess that’s not much different from the stock market at large.

Consider that almost half of all companies in the S&P 500 have disappeared over the past 30 years. That’s not because they were well-run businesses. It’s because they were flops…

That’s not a slam on stock market investing. It’s just the truth about capitalism: running a business is hard work. Sometimes it doesn’t pan out. If you’ve ever run your own venture, you know exactly what I’m talking about.

But in the gold market, we have an added layer of difficulty. And I’m very tempted to tell you every week: don’t buy XYZ gold stocks or ETFs.

I know that’s boring, so I try not to do it, especially since the opportunities can be very exciting and sometimes: super obvious.

That’s because the number of high-quality, long-term businesses you’d want to own in the gold sector are so few, you could fit the CEOs of all of them in a school bus, and you’d still have room for a half dozen Janet Yellens and maybe a Paul Volcker or two.

My point is that if you’re really interested in the best long-term stocks to own, you don’t have that many companies to choose from. That’s a good thing.

I believe the best long-term companies to own are all deeply undervalued (still!) even after a very strong year in 2025.

All of that to say: if you know me personally, you know that I hate self-promotion. There’s nothing less appealing to me than bragging or telling you about the gains possible from my research. I’m not a big fan of public speaking either. I would rather let my work do the talking.

But that doesn’t put butts in seats. Unfortunately, in this business, I have to promote myself – or I can’t continue to do the work of analyzing gold stocks that I love.

So, I was thrilled to have my longtime friend, colleague and former boss Porter Stansberry sit down with me for a brief interview.

I don’t mind letting Porter do the talking. He’s a dynamic speaker and he knows how to get the best out of anyone he talks to.

Porter very generously took the time to dig into my gold thesis with me – and to talk through what I believe are some of the best gold investment opportunities you’ll ever see.

He just put this interview up on his site earlier this week. The information is very fresh and he has a very interesting take on gold valuation I know you won’t hear about anywhere else.

Take a look – it’s free.

It also includes a free look at one of my favorite companies to own right now.

If you have a few spare moments, I strongly encourage you to view this interview. I wouldn’t send this to you unless I thought it was worth your time.

Have a great weekend.

Best,
